Before You Arrive

When You Arrive

  • When you arrive at the Shawnee County Courthouse, you will check in at the Jury Coordinator Window located on the fourth floor (RM 406).   
  • You will be given further instructions upon checking in.  
  • Once all jurors have checked-in, the Jury Coordinator will conduct a short jury orientation.  
  • You will then wait to be assigned to a trial.
  • If you are assigned to a trial, you and your fellow potential jurors will go through a questioning process to determine if you are suitable to serve as a juror on this particular case. 
  • If you are not selected to serve, you will be dismissed by the Judge or Jury Coordinator and your service will be complete.
  • If you are selected to serve as a juror, you will receive further instructions from the Judge.
