[ARCHIVED] No Marriage Licenses will be issued statewide from September 7-14, 2021

marriage-license-update

Due to a Kansas Department of Vital Statistics database upgrade, marriage licenses will NOT be issued statewide between September 7 and 14. If you intend to be married between these dates, you MUST apply no later than Tuesday, August 31 with licenses to be picked up Friday, September 3.

Certified copies of licenses will not be available through the Office of Vital Statistics until after the upgrades have been completed.

Once the portal has reopened on September 15, following the upgrade, the earliest a couple will be able to be married will be September 17 due to the required three-day waiting period.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
