Honorable Mary E. Christopher

The Honorable Mary E. Christopher was sworn in as Judge of the Third Judicial District on February 16, 2018.  Judge Christopher received her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2001. During law school she was a President’s Scholar, served as Editor of the Washburn Law Journal and worked for the Appellate Reporter’s Office. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Kansas State University in 1982, with induction into the Phi Beta Kappa honors organization. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Christopher was a partner at Goodell, Stratton, Edmonds & Palmer, LLP.  Judge Christopher also worked as Staff Attorney at the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund, and served as Research Attorney for the Honorable Bob Abbott at the Kansas Supreme Court.
